About the Boreal Emergency Preparedness Portal
Introducing a new way to stay informed and be prepared. The digital portal can be accessed at www.boreal-emergency.org. It will be a central clearinghouse for information on what to "know before you go" to stay safe on the North Shore.
The new on-line digital portal will provide the information and contacts to allow you to be better informed and prepared for emergency situations. Brought to you by Boreal Community Media and developed in partnership with the Cook County Emergency Management Community.
The Boreal Emergency Preparedness Portal was conceived, created and is managed by Boreal Community Media, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Grand Marais, Minnesota.
It is designed to be the central on-line clearinghouse for information, news, alerts and articles to make your visit to the North Shore of Minnesota safer and more enjoyable.
At Boreal Community Media and with our community of first responders and safety leaders, we believe strongly in the idea of “know before you go”.
This Boreal digital portal is designed to provide the information, coaching, contacts and tips to help you enjoy our region – safely. It also provides access to resources on a whole host of emergency situations –at home, on the road, on the water and in the wilderness.
