With temperatures rising outdoors it's always a good idea to refresh our memory for how quickly temperatures inside a vehicle (windows cracked or not) can increase and become deadly. Even with temperatures in the low to mid 70s, temperatures inside a vehicle can rise to over 100F degree with 30 minutes.

Additionally, having the windows cracked open doesn't make much of a difference. With temperatures in the low 90s, temperatures will rise to 120F degree with windows cracked compared to 130F with windows shut. The best practice is to never leave kids or pets unattended in vehicles over the summer.
