People helping in and around the International Falls region struggling with flood levels will get some relief. The Salvation Army Northern Division has deployed two emergency mobile canteens to serve in the severely flooded places in northern Minnesota. These mobile canteens will provide food, hydration, and counseling to the volunteers hard at work placing sandbags along flooded water areas.
The two canteens and volunteer teams that were sent to the area were dispatched from the Twin Cities and Duluth. As of Monday, 131 EDS staff and volunteers have served in the area, providing over 21,000 meals, snacks and beverages.
Organizers say monetary donations are urgently needed to provide these services, if you would like to help, click here.
