Governor Tim Walz unveiled a new State of Minnesota COVID-19 dashboard Friday that tracks the virus in Minnesota and provides the latest data on available ventilators, ICU beds, personal protective equipment and testing.

“During Minnesota’s Stay Home Order, we’ve worked to collect data, increase the availability of necessary equipment, and develop strategies to address economic and social impacts of COVID-19,” Governor Walz said. “This dashboard will provide Minnesotans with timely, accurate information about the data that informs our decisions on COVID-19 response, recovery, and resources.”

In addition to unveiling the dashboard, Governor Walz provided updates on Minnesota's Stay at Home order which went into effect on March 25th and encouraged Minnesotans to continue practicing social distancing.

During this time, Governor Walz said the state will continue preparing for a potential surge by developing strategies to address the social and economic impacts of COVID-19 through groups that focus on critical response and recovery work, including hospital surge capacity, supplies, testing, and education and child care.

"We are doing everything possible to make sure Minnesotans are taken care of without compromising our ethics to our neighbors across this country and across the globe. There are ways that we can do this if we strategically plan and we think about once a wave has passed somewhere, I think the expectation is that those states will be able to help others," Governor Walz said.
