You are invited to attend the Cook County Emergency Services Conference April 26-27. We have a great program planned for you – see agenda attached with many dynamic trainings, speakers and exercises.

Particularly, if you are Fire, EMS or Law Enforcement and want to participate in the 3Echo Active Shooter/IED tactical response training on Saturday, please let us know. Please discuss the 3echo opportunity with your leadership and let us know if you’d like to send members. Also, if interested in taking either of the two SafeTALK sessions, please select that ticket as well, as there is a limit of participants for each class.

Awards – Nominations Now Open

Attached please find the nomination letter and forms. Please note that the award categories have been expanded to include four awards in the following categories.

Cook County Outstanding Emergency Service Provider 2018
First Responder, EMT, Firefighter, Dispatcher, Search & Rescue, STOP, Ski Patrol etc

Dolly Johnson Friend of Emergency Services 2018
A citizen, response supporter, associate member or friend of emergency services, could be, but not necessarily affiliated with an emergency service, serve on a Department executive, relief association, department board or be someone who supports(ed) emergency response operations 

NEW - Professional Meritorious Service Award
This is a new award this year that recognizes meritorious service of any of our career emergency professionals, i.e. Law Enforcement, hired Paramedics, Dispatch Border Patrol or Customs & Border Services or other paid emergency response-related position who has gone above and beyond in their call of duty to benefit public safety in Cook County. 

NEW – Exemplary Leadership Award
This is a new award recognizes exemplary leadership in Emergency Services and can recognize an individual who leads by example, outstanding Incident Command or departmental leadership that contributes to the success of an organization.
